Hip-hop legend Rev Run and Novo Nordisk have teamed up for Ask.Screen.Know., a national program dedicated to increasing awareness of the benefits of early diabetes screening and detection. Now in its fourth year running, the A.S.K. campaign aims to reach the estimated 79 million Americans who are living with prediabetes.

Diabetes touches millions of people in this country. More than 1 in 4 Americans are at risk. Nearly 1 in 12 Americans has diabetes, but nearly 1 in 3 doesn’t know it. Additionally, diabetes can lead to other health complications, so early detection is important.

If you're 45 or older, it’s time to ask. Talk to your doctor about getting screened for diabetes.
