About the department

Global Finance GBS Bangalore was established in 2007, is currently responsible for supporting Accounting, Finance & Procurement, Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) for Headquarters, region Europe, North America, International Operations (IO) & GBS Bangalore. The main purpose of our existence is to provide superior service to our stakeholders consistently and add value to the processes in terms of standardization and efficiency.

 

The position

As a Master Data Analyst at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Analyze and validate master data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity. Develop, monitor, and maintain data quality metrics, reports, and dashboards for master data elements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-related issues and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Implement and enforce data governance and quality standards for master data elements.
  • Perform data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment activities to meet business requirements and ensure data accuracy.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of data models, data dictionaries, and documentation for master data elements.
  • Generate master data development reports as per specific business requirements.
  • Stay updated with the latest tools and technologies to enhance data analysis processes and efficiency. Create models to extract meaningful insights from data and present findings to stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in Master Data Management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge in SQL, Alteryx and PowerApps, VBA, Macro, Win shuttle.
  • Skilled in performing data profiling and quality assessment of source systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot errors related to master data transitions efficiently.
  • Participation in continuous improvement projects within shared services.
  • Understanding of the impact of master data processes on downstream and upstream processes (e.g., P2P, R2R, O2C).
  • Knowledge of SAP Finance module (FI) and low/no code applications is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of Sarbox approach and audit material.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
