Negelle Morris is Senior Vice President, Novo Nordisk Inc. (NNI) Cardiometabolic Sales since August 2023. In her role, she is responsible for leading diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular sales teams as well as the educator teams across the US. Throughout her career, Negelle has championed leadership, diversity and inclusion, focusing on the development of others, both through her work as a mentor and as a national executive board member in various company sponsored employee network groups. She also held various non-profit board of director positions focusing on healthcare disparities and underserved populations including her current role on the Board of Directors for Frederick Douglass Family Initiatives.
Previously, Negelle was Vice President, Ozempic® Marketing where she led Novo Nordisk’s flagship brand Ozempic® and the diabetes injectable portfolio. Prior to this role she led a team of over 500 employees as Vice President, Area Commercial Lead with responsibility for all cardiometabolic field facing commercial teams and commercial execution.
Negelle is a business leader with 25+ years of experience working within multiple clinical and corporate environments where her focus has been in direct patient care, healthcare leadership, sales strategy development, patient access and marketing. Before joining Novo Nordisk, Negelle spent 14 years at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, where she started as a Specialty Sales Representative and took on roles of increasing responsibility in Sales leadership, Strategy and Market Access. In these roles she led regional and national strategy and helped shape and implement organizational approach to Health System and payer customer segments. Negelle began her career as a licensed clinician and program administrator in the mental health arena and worked in managed care with Magellan Behavioral Health.
Negelle received several awards and accolades throughout her career including multiple national leadership, partnership and performance awards, most recently featured in 2023 by Diversity Woman Media as one of the top 100 Black women leaders in the country, and as a Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Luminary in 2022, recognizing the significant impact she has had on the healthcare industry and her proven track record helping to advance the careers of other women.
Negelle holds a bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology from Loma Linda University and a master’s degree in social work from Clark Atlanta University.
