Negelle Morris has served as Senior Vice President of Cardiometabolic Sales at Novo Nordisk Inc. since August 2023. In this role, she leads sales teams for diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular products, as well as educator teams across the United States.
Previously, Negelle was the Vice President of Ozempic® Marketing, where she managed Novo Nordisk’s flagship brand Ozempic® and the diabetes injectable portfolio. Prior to this role, she led a team of over 500 employees as Vice President, Area Commercial Lead with responsibility for all cardiometabolic field facing commercial and execution teams in the East area.
With over 25 years of experience in both clinical and corporate settings, Negelle has focused on direct patient care, healthcare leadership, sales strategy development, patient access, and marketing. Prior to joining Novo Nordisk, she spent 14 years at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, starting as a Specialty Sales Representative and advancing through roles in Sales leadership, Strategy, and Market Access, shaping regional and national strategies.
Negelle began her career as a licensed clinician and program administrator in mental health.
Throughout her career, Negelle has been a strong advocate for leadership, focusing on the development of others, both through her work as a mentor and with several company-sponsored employee resource groups.
Given her extensive clinical and commercial expertise, Negelle has been featured in several prominent media outlets, including ABC’s Good Morning America, NBC’s Nightline, and Oprah Winfrey's broadcast special, "Shame, Blame, and the Weight Loss Revolution."
Negelle has also received numerous accolades, including the PharmaVoice 100, Women of Color in Pharma’s Visionary Award, BlackDoctor.org’s Top Blacks in Healthcare Award, and the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Luminary Award. Negelle has held several non-profit Board of Director positions related to healthcare disparities and underserved populations, including her current role on the Board of Directors for Frederick Douglass Family Initiatives. She holds a bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology from Loma Linda University and a master’s degree in social work from Clark Atlanta University.
